In June of 2013, Brian and I were lucky enough to travel to different areas of Montana. We visited Bozeman, Livingston, Helena and Craig, MT.
Montana is full of beautiful rivers, so we spent time fishing the Missouri, Madison, Boulder, Yellowstone and East Gallatin Rivers as well as the DePuy Spring Creek. Montana has great fishing guides which showed us some great spots, got us into incredible fish… both from shore and by boat!
We also decided to devote some of our time there to hiking, so we trekked up to Yellowstone National Park, hiked and enjoyed the amazing view. We loved all of the places we visited, but overall, we’d say our favorite town was Craig, MT. Craig, MT is your quintessential fly fishing town. It consists of a few fly shops, two bars and a great restaurant! We had a wonderful time in the beautiful state of Montana, caught a lot of gorgeous, healthy fish and can’t wait to go back!
